HOW LEVELS WORK

Every match is against someone at your level.

Singles uses your own level. Doubles adds you and your partner together.

SINGLES

Your level is your division.

A 3.5 plays in 3.5 Singles. Levels run from 2.5 to 4.5+.

DOUBLES AND MIXED

Add the two levels together.

That total is your team level, like USTA combined tennis. Divisions run from 6.0 to 9.0+; each season lists the ones it offers.

3.5+3.5=7.0

Plays 7.0 Doubles

3.75+3.25=7.0

Plays 7.0 Doubles

3.5+3.0=6.5

Rounds up: plays 7.0 Doubles

4.0+3.0=7.0

Not allowed: more than 0.5 apart

THE RULES

  1. 1

    Partners within 0.5

Keeps teams balanced, so one strong player can't carry a much weaker one.

  2. 2

    Round up, never down

A total between divisions plays in the next one up. A team can choose to play up, never down.

  3. 3

    Locked for the season

Your team level is set when you register and stays put until the season ends.
